Vaishno Devi Tour Packages 2026 — 2N to 6N Yatra Plans
Vaishno Devi tour packages with Katra hotel, Jammu transfers, RFID assistance and darshan planning — from a 2-night yatra to a 6-night Vaishno Devi and Kashmir combination.
A Vaishno Devi package is mostly logistics: getting from Jammu to Katra, holding a decent room near the yatra gate, collecting the RFID card, timing the climb around the darshan queue, and having transport waiting when you come back down. We run all of that from the ground and can extend the same trip to Patnitop, Srinagar or the full Kashmir valley.
Quick answer
Vaishno Devi packages start at ₹6,999 per person for 2 nights with Katra hotel, Jammu transfers and RFID assistance, and run to ₹22,999 for a 6-night Vaishno Devi plus Kashmir circuit. Helicopter tickets are not included in any package — they are sold only by the Shrine Board — but we plan your day around whatever slot you book.

The standard 2-night yatra plan
Day 1: arrive at Jammu station or airport, drive 48 km to Katra in about 1.5 hours, check in, collect the RFID card and rest. Day 2: begin the climb before dawn or take a helicopter slot, complete darshan at the Bhawan, add the Bhairon Temple if you have energy left, and return to Katra by evening. Day 3: morning at leisure and transfer back to Jammu. This is the shortest plan that does not leave you doing a 12 km climb on the same day you travelled.
3-night plan with Patnitop
The same yatra with one added night at Patnitop, a pine-covered hill stop about 110 km from Katra on the Srinagar highway. It suits families who want a slow day after the climb rather than an immediate train home, and it fits neatly if you are continuing towards the Kashmir valley by road.
Vaishno Devi with Kashmir
The most-booked longer combination: two nights around Katra for darshan, then either the road to Srinagar via Patnitop and the Jawahar Tunnel, or a short flight from Jammu. You get four nights in the valley for Srinagar, Gulmarg, Pahalgam and Sonmarg. As a Srinagar-based operator, this is the version we run best — one team, one vehicle plan, no handover between agencies at the tunnel.
What packages include and exclude
Included: hotel on twin sharing with breakfast, all transfers and sightseeing by private vehicle with driver, fuel, tolls and parking, RFID assistance and on-trip coordination. Excluded: helicopter tickets (Shrine Board only), pony, palki and battery car charges, the Bhairon ropeway, cloakroom fees, lunches and dinners unless stated, and flights or trains to Jammu. Every exclusion is listed in writing before you pay an advance.
Planning around Navratri and peak dates
During both Navratri periods, Diwali and New Year, Katra hotel rates rise sharply, the darshan queue can stretch past three hours and helicopter slots vanish within minutes of release. If your dates are fixed to a festival, book at least a month ahead and expect a longer day. If they are flexible, midweek dates outside those windows give you the same darshan at roughly half the hotel cost.
How booking works
Send your travel dates, group size and arrival point on WhatsApp or the enquiry form. You get a day-wise plan with named hotels, vehicle category and a written inclusion list, usually the same day. A 20% advance confirms hotels and vehicle; the balance is paid after you arrive. Date changes are free up to 7 days before travel.
Frequently asked questions
What does a Vaishno Devi tour package cost?
From ₹6,999 per person for a 2-night Katra yatra with Jammu transfers and hotel, up to ₹22,999 for a 6-night Vaishno Devi and Kashmir circuit, on twin sharing and land only.
How many days do I need for Vaishno Devi?
Two nights and three days is the practical minimum — one to reach Katra and rest, one for the climb and darshan, and a morning to travel back. Add a night if you want the Bhairon Temple without rushing.
Is the helicopter included in the package?
No. Helicopter tickets are sold only by the Shrine Board on maavaishnodevi.org and no agency can issue them. We plan your hotel, transport and darshan timing around the slot you secure.
Do you arrange the RFID yatra card?
Yes. Our Katra coordinator guides your group to the right counter with your photo IDs so no one is stopped at the Banganga gate on the morning of the climb.
Can I combine Vaishno Devi with Kashmir?
Yes, and it is our most-booked longer trip. Two nights around Katra for darshan, then Srinagar, Gulmarg, Pahalgam and Sonmarg by road via Patnitop or by a short flight from Jammu.
Is the package suitable for elderly parents?
Yes. We combine a helicopter slot or palki with a battery car for the final stretch, book a hotel close to the gate, and keep the vehicle and driver with your group throughout.
When should I avoid travelling?
Both Navratri periods, Diwali and New Year bring the longest queues and the highest hotel rates. July to September has the most helicopter cancellations. Midweek dates in October–December and February–March are the smoothest.
How much advance is needed to book?
20% of the land package confirms hotels and vehicle. The balance is payable after you arrive in Katra, and date changes are free up to 7 days before travel.
